The range of Sodium Stannate finds usage in the following areas:

• Chemicals: In the manufacture of insoluble Stannates (e.g. those of Barium, lead, calcium, magnesium, and bismuth). It is also used in the preparation of some tin oxide coatings (e.g. for catalytic uses)
• Metal Finishing: As a tin plating salt in alkaline plating baths and as an ingredient of tin Zinc plating salts.
• Paper: As a process chemical in the preparation of some surface coatings
